Our Purpose: A Better Life for Everyone

Nourish is not simply a technology company; we are a digital partner for the social and health care sector rooted in human connections, with the person being supported at its core. We offer a range of co-produced software solutions tailored to the unique challenges of care, while still being flexible enough to meet the specific needs of each individual service we work with.

We are at an exciting stage of growth. While we are the market leader, we remain ambitious and dedicated to our mission. We continue to revolutionise the sector by investing in our platform and our incredible employees who make this impact possible.

Our Ecosystem

At Nourish, you will contribute to a sophisticated ecosystem that includes:

* Technology that impacts a million people every day: Our core products are used by over 425,000 carers to support 417,000+ individuals
* The Nourish Partnership Programme (NPP): A sector-leading programme that manages strategic integrations with third‑party systems to ensure seamless data syncing and interoperability across the care journey.

Our Culture & Values

We look for people who align with the way we work. If you join us, you are joining a culture defined by:

* Making a Difference: We remember who we serve. We are passionate about making a meaningful, positive impact on the lives of carers and those we support
* Agility: We continuously refine and adapt. There is no room for complacency here; we are driven to constantly review and improve our products and processes.
* Collective Effort: We help each other out because we know that when one person wins, we all win. It’s "all hands-on deck" - everyone is in it together.
* Every Person Counts: We treat everyone as a very significant part of our community. We welcome people being their true and authentic selves and value the diverse perspectives they bring.
* Openness to Learning: We believe no question is a silly question and all insights are valuable. Mistakes are part of the improvement process; we dust ourselves off and begin again.

The Team & Role

As a UX Researcher at Nourish, you’ll be advocating for our end-users through practice research, documentation and the governance and maintenance of our research repository, which supports our teams throughout Product. You will view research from a wide lens and synthesise key user patterns over time, representing the voice of the user throughout our organisation. You’ll also work closely with UX, including supporting designers with individual project research through guidance on tools, resources and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

* Define a research roadmap to align with Nourish’s growth and vision, prioritising the organisation’s goals per quarter and balancing your involvement from research consultancy to primary research based on the needs of each initiative, leveraging research best practices alongside efficient and effective methods.
* Proactively conduct ongoing user research throughout the product development lifecycle, including scheduling calls and visits, recruiting research participants, preparing interview or test material, concept and usability test plans, supporting colleagues who capture user feedback to ensure data quality and good research standards are met.
* Conduct active research with end-users with monthly touchpoints both remotely and in person, in various locations throughout the UK, to understand existing practices, needs and pain points of various personas within the care and support sector. This will require travelling to locations at times, by yourself or accompanied by other team members.
* Advocate for the user voice throughout our organisation, from presenting stakeholder reports to hosting frequent ‘Voice of the User’ forums in collaboration with other advocates across the organisation e.g. marketing.
* Build the next iteration of artefacts such as user personas, journey maps, empathy maps, etc. based on our research in collaboration with designers to help guide the direction of releases.
* Identify important trends and patterns in user behaviour over time, establishing and measuring by benchmarks, particularly monitoring performance of core features and new releases over time.
* Support the design team through collaboration with designers to understand research needs, relevant methods and guidance on areas of UX improvement.
* Grow and maintain the UX research repository which acts as a centralised research database facilitating a deep and long-term understanding of users, and allows colleagues to self-serve available knowledge about our users, our products and our customers’ experiences with us.
* Deliver design research (recent insights, relevant industry trends, comp intel etc.) regularly via department or org wide calls to facilitate alignment in our understanding of our customers, maintain upkeep of our product and design standards, and identify key areas of UX improvement.

Requirements

* Experience: Demonstrable experience in in‑house UX research within a digital product environment, with exposure to end‑to‑end research. Experience creating and driving research roadmaps that inform product strategy and design.
* Technical/Functional Alignment: Strong understanding of both qualitative and quantitative research methods. Proficiency in research and documentation tools such as Hey Marvin, Dovetail, or similar research repositories. Comfortable facilitating workshops and partnering closely with UX and Product teams.
* Sector Interest: Genuine curiosity and commitment to improving the UK social care sector through research‑driven design. Awareness of the challenges faced by care providers and a desire to use technology to improve interoperability, insight‑sharing, and user experience across care ecosystems.
* Mindset: Pragmatic, warm, and collaborative, with excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills. Naturally curious and able to balance empathy for users with business context. Comfortable working autonomously, travelling across the UK for field research, and synthesising complex findings into actionable insights that empower teams.
* Annual Leave: 25 days basic + Public Holidays + an extra day for your Birthday.
* Service‑Related Leave: 1 extra day for each completed year of service (up to 5 additional days).
* Health & Wellbeing: Private Medical Insurance (including a personal health fund), Health & Wellbeing platform with 24/7 GP access, and an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP).
* Family & Security: Enhanced Maternity Leave, Group Life Assurance, and Pension Contribution.
* Growth & Connection: Regular career reviews, Referral Bonus schemes, and social events throughout the year.

All positions at Nourish are subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, references, and receipt of appropriate Right to Work documents.
