RecQuest is delighted to be supporting a well-established and highly regarded South Coast law firm in the appointment of a Residential Property Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or experienced Legal Executive to join their growing team in Portsmouth.

Most conveyancing roles offer the same thing – a caseload, a busy inbox and limited involvement beyond your own files. This opportunity offers something different.

You will work directly alongside the Partner who leads the residential property department, becoming their number two within the team and playing a key role in supporting the continued growth and development of the department.

This position would suit an experienced conveyancer who enjoys working closely within a team and is looking for a more senior role with genuine influence and progression.


The Role

As a Residential Property Solicitor / Licensed Conveyancer, you will manage a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters while working closely with the Partner on more complex or higher-value transactions. This is a senior position within the team, offering genuine responsibility and the opportunity to contribute to the department’s continued success.


What You’ll Be Doing

Managing a varied caseload of residential property matters from instruction through to completion

Handling freehold and leasehold sales and purchases

Managing re-mortgages and transfers of equity

Working on new build property transactions

Supporting the Partner on more complex or higher value matters

Providing guidance or support to junior members of the team where required

Maintaining strong relationships with clients, agents and other stakeholders throughout the conveyancing process


What We’re Looking For

Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or Legal Executive

Strong experience managing your own residential conveyancing caseload

Confident handling a full range of residential property transactions

Able to work collaboratively within a team environment

Looking to step into a more senior role with increased responsibility

Strong client relationship and communication skills
