GSL Education are recruiting a dedicated PE Teacher to join a school in Swadlincote. This role offers the opportunity to deliver engaging, high-quality physical education lessons, encourage participation in sport, and foster a positive, inclusive, and energetic environment for students.
Role Overview:
As a PE Teacher, you will create exciting lessons that support pupils in developing their physical skills, confidence, and understanding of health and fitness. You will promote resilience, teamwork, and enjoyment of physical activity while inspiring pupils to reach their potential.
As a PE Teacher, you will:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver PE lessons across a variety of age groups and abilities.
* Promote physical activity, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles among pupils.
* Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.
* Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a safe and inclusive environment.
* Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the PE curriculum and extracurricular activities.
* Maintain the highest standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare.
Requirements for PE Teacher:
* UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience teaching PE across primary or secondary age groups.
* Strong knowledge of the physical education curriculum and effective teaching methods.
* Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
* An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
