Your Role
As a core member of our Reading technical team, you will handle a true variety of technical work:
* Maintenance & Repair: Carry out routine servicing, engine work, braking systems, and general mechanical repairs to strict trade standards.
* Advanced Diagnostics: Use modern automotive software and diagnostic equipment to identify, troubleshoot, and rectify complex faults.
* Technical Growth: Support senior technicians with high-level fault diagnosis and learn advanced repair methodologies.
* Safety Inspections: Perform thorough vehicle health checks and maintain accurate technical records.
* Quality Standards: Deliver reliable, "first-time fix" results to maintain our excellent local reputation for engineering excellence.
What You Need
* Qualifications: Level 2 or Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent City & Guilds / time-served experience).
* Experience: Minimum 18 months of professional workshop experience (we are happy to have a flexible discussion based on your skills).
* Tools: Having your own vehicle repair tools is preferred.
* Licensing: A full UK driving licence is essential.
* Mindset: A strong interest in diagnostics and a genuine desire to progress your skills further.
