This role is being advertised as a Shop Manager but on appointment your job title will be Community Shop Manager.
We are looking for confident and influential individuals who want to be at the heart of their local community and seek an opportunity to have control of creative merchandising within managing a Shelter shop. Do you have experience of managing a team whilst empowering and motivating individuals? If so, then this could be the role for you at our Ilkley shop.
About you
You will need to be an active team player and demonstrate how you've managed and motivated a team beyond expectations, along with experience in providing excellent face-to-face customer service.
You should have good knowledge of recruiting and developing a diverse team, supporting and motivating team members to progress, and how to bring these skills into this position.
Good communication skills are essential to engage with the local community, seek out new opportunities to increase the shop’s contribution, and further Shelter's cause. You will develop your own and your team’s interests in merchandising the shop, attracting customers, and continually developing knowledge of Shelter, who we are, and what we do.
