Join JLR’s Assisted and Automated Driving (AAD) team as a Triage Engineer and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of intelligent mobility. This is more than just a technical role — it’s your chance to be at the centre of innovation, ensuring the seamless delivery of cutting-edge ADAS features that enhance safety, comfort, and performance in our vehicles.
As a Triage Engineer, you’ll be the key link between software development, system integration, and supplier collaboration. You’ll lead the charge in identifying, prioritising, and resolving complex issues across multiple platforms, ensuring our vehicles meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. This role also involves frequent overseas travel, particularly to support collaboration with global teams and suppliers.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Be the central hub for issue resolution in a fast-paced, agile engineering environment.
* Own the triage process: Evaluate, prioritise, and assign software/system issues across internal teams and external suppliers
* Drive resolution: Track and manage defect fixes to meet programme milestones and ensure timely delivery
* Communicate with clarity: Keep stakeholders informed with regular updates on issue status, priorities, and timelines
* Visualise progress: Maintain and present defect dashboards and KPIs to support data-driven decisions
* Collaborate globally: Work closely with engineering teams and suppliers across the UK, China, and other international locations
* Champion agile: Participate in agile ceremonies and promote best practices across the team
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Bring your technical expertise, problem-solving mindset, and collaborative spirit.
* A degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology, related discipline, or equivalent experience.
* Experience working on complex automotive projects, ideally within ADAS or similar domains.
* Strong knowledge of Autosar and POSIX platforms.
* Proven track record in software development or technical issue resolution.
* Excellent communication skills to engage with internal teams and external partners.
* Hands-on experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe.
