Job Description
This role in the National Portfolio Management Office will support the allocation of funding for a programme within our wider investment portfolio to ensure resources are effectively directed to achieve flood outcomes. The role involves collaborating with team members and external partners, seeking technical input, and working with local teams to manage allocations. Additionally, the role will help ensure programmes are well managed and support activities aimed at improving outcomes.

The team
The team is responsible for allocating funding to FCRM's investment programmes and managing performance at the portfolio level to meet corporate goals, such as better protecting communities from flooding. We emphasize collaborative working, development, wellbeing, and inclusion. This role is part of the FCRM National Directorate within the Portfolio Management Assurance and Commercial team.
Experience/Skills Required
* Methodical working and attention to detail
* Ability to prioritize and manage workload effectively
* Calmness under pressure and proactive initiative
* Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships
* Proficiency in Excel, GIS data mapping, dashboards, and Power BI
* Preference for experience managing portfolios in a programme/portfolio environment
* Strong communication skills, including writing and PowerPoint, to convey complex topics simply

This is a hybrid role with no fixed base location, involving home working and occasional travel to London, Birmingham, and Bristol.
All staff are required to undertake training and participate in incident response duties, which support communities and protect the environment. Further details are available in the candidate pack. The interview will be conducted via MS Teams before 15 July.
