Overview
Head of Literacy and Communication – We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to take on the role of Head of Literacy and Communication, shaping strategy and practice.
Hours: Term time only, 35 hours per week
Salary: £34,398 + £2,787 SEN allowance + TLR2a £3,000 - £5,000 (depending on experience)

Responsibilities
* Ensuring on-going assessment of students work and abilities
* Provide differentiated work to meet individual student needs
* Write annual reports and reviews
* Establish and maintain good working relationships with parents
* Contribute to the design and provision of engaging curriculum
* Supporting the headteacher in all matters of the school policy
* Design and plan schemes of work for literacy and communication
* Monitoring the teaching of literacy and communication through learning walks and observation of teachers
* Train and coach teachers and support staff in the teaching of literacy and communication
Qualifications
* Qualified Teacher with a strong background in SEN
* Experience of training in phonics and / or speech and language interventions
* Additional SEN qualification
* Knowledge of current national curriculum for Literacy
