Role Overview
We are recruiting for a Design Manager for a national Tier 1 contractor from their regional office in Southampton. They are one of the largest contractors in the UK and have been producing excellent financial results for the last five years based on a clear business strategy of quality and risk management.
Projects range from GBP10 to GBP70 million across Hampshire, Dorset, and Wiltshire, and span frameworks in education, care, MOD and defence, MOJ, bio research, and other cutting‑edge marketplaces.
Responsibilities
* Lead design from bid stages through detailed second‑stage, then onto site to help build and deliver the scheme – full life‑cycle ownership from bid, win, second‑stage, to delivery.
Qualifications
* Experienced Design Manager or ambitious Design Coordinator willing to step up with full life‑cycle ownership.
* Structured implementers of the building safety act; Chartered status an advantage.
* Willingness to undertake external training to obtain chartership if needed.
* Eligible to live and work in the UK.
