Teacher - Alternative Education
Location: High Wycombe
Salary: £30,000 to £40,000 (Based on experience) Plus valuable Benefits
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: September 2025 or as soon as possible
Our client, a respected alternative education provider, is looking for a committed and adaptable Teacher to join their team in High Wycombe. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a genuine impact on the lives of young people who face barriers to accessing mainstream education, supporting their academic progress and personal development.
About the Role:
As a Teacher within an alternative provision setting, you will deliver tailored learning experiences to students on a one-to-one or small group basis, in settings such as the community, homes, or outreach centres. You will support students with social, emotional, mental health needs (SEMH), SEND, or a history of disrupted education.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver creative, engaging lessons across various subjects, adapted to individual needs
* Support re-engagement with education and foster a positive learning environment
* Collaborate with families, carers, and multi-agency professionals to support learner outcomes
* Assess, track, and report on progress and well-being regularly
* Provide encouragement, structure, and emotional support to students
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent; strong candidates with relevant experience will also be considered
* Experience working with vulnerable learners, SEND, or in alternative provision settings
* Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
* Patience, empathy, resilience, and a flexible teaching approach
* Valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (travel between sites may be required)

Pay rates quoted include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with potential for permanency later.
