Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to help deliver regulatory responsibilities as the Enforcement Authority for the Reservoirs Act 1975 in England. The Reservoirs Act helps to ensure the safe operation and management of dams. This is a part-time job share (22.2 hours per week).
As an officer in the Compliance and Monitoring team, part of the Reservoir Regulation team, you will monitor compliance with the Reservoirs Act 1975 for the 2140 reservoirs in England. Some travel and overnight stays will be required as the team is nationally dispersed.
Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day correspondence
* Record incoming documentation on our database to ensure records are accurate and up to date
* Encourage compliance when reports or certificates are not received as expected
* Be the first point of contact for reservoir owners and panel engineers
* Provide information and advice on the requirements of the Act
Team and Context
You will join the Environmental Assessment and Reservoir Regulation department, part of the Flood & Coastal Risk Management (FCRM) Directorate. The Reservoir Regulation team comprises 25+ members who regulate more than 2140 large raised reservoirs in England. The team is dispersed across the country.

Additional Information
Travel and overnight stays may be required. The role is national, so you can be based at any Environment Agency office.
