Commercial Property Solicitor Location: Barnsley, South Yorkshire Salary: £35,000 - £45,000, (DOE) We are seeking a dedicated Commercial Property Solicitor to join a well-established, client-focused legal practice in Barnsley that provides a full range of legal services to individuals and businesses across South Yorkshire and beyond. About the Role As a Commercial Property Solicitor, you will manage your own caseload of commercial property transactions, delivering expert legal support to a diverse client base including developers, investors, landlords and business occupiers. You'll play a key role in advising on a broad range of matters, ensuring transactions are handled efficiently and commercially from instruction through to completion. This role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive and collaborative team, with hybrid working flexibility and genuine scope for progression in a varied and rewarding environment. What You'll Be Doing Managing a personal caseload of commercial property matters, including acquisitions and disposals, landlord and tenant work, leases, and development transactions. Advising clients on the legal and commercial aspects of property transactions. Drafting and negotiating contracts for sale, agreements for lease, leases, licences and related documentation. Conducting title investigations, reviewing searches and resolving complex title issues. Liaising with clients, agents, lenders and other professionals to progress transactions efficiently. Supporting business development initiatives and building strong client relationships. Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and firm standards throughout each matter. About you: You will be: A qualified Solicitor OR Cilex qualifed (England & Wales) with proven experience in commercial property law. Confident managing your own caseload with minimal supervision. Commercially minded, with the ability to provide pragmatic and solution-focused advice. Organised and detail-oriented, with strong drafting and negotiation skills. A clear communicator who can build lasting relationships with clients and referrers. Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
