Overview
Assistant Market Officer – Huddersfield. This is a temporary post for approximately 6 months.
Responsibilities
* Work across 7 days a week with mixed shift patterns; hours typically from 6:00 am to 7:00 pm. Must be reliable and flexible.
* Be willing to work weekends (Saturdays and Sundays).
* Drive and have access to a vehicle to accommodate 6:00 am starts at Dewsbury and Huddersfield; there is no early public transport between these locations.
* Travel to different market locations as required.
* Carry out heavy manual handling to erect market stalls; must be physically fit.
* Perform heavy duty cleaning and be able to deal with biological hazards.
* Clean public toilets in a public setting (note: this is not domestic cleaning).
* Willing to work outside in all weathers.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Must be able to drive and have a vehicle.
* Must have own steel-toe capped boots with ankle support and a waterproof jacket; other uniform items will be provided.
* Preferable experience in cleaning, security and health and safety.
