About the Role
As a Relationship Director, you’ll be responsible for originating, structuring and closing development finance transactions across residential and mixed-use schemes in the UK. You’ll work closely with in-house credit and senior stakeholders to deliver funding solutions that are tailored, responsive, and competitive. The ideal Relationship Director is already originating Development Finance deals up to £10 million, confident in their credit skills, and ready to step into a high-impact role.
Relationship Director – Key Responsibilities
* Originate and structure residential and mixed-use development finance loans
* Build and manage relationships with property developers, brokers, and intermediaries
* Conduct initial due diligence and work with internal teams on credit structuring
* Present cases to credit committee and follow through to drawdown
* Act as the primary point of contact from initial enquiry to loan completion
* Represent the lender at industry events, site visits, and meetings
* Maintain a strong awareness of market trends, risks, and opportunities

Skills and Experience Required
* Proven track record originating development finance or bridging deals in the UK
* Experience structuring deals up to £10 million
* Background in credit, underwriting or analysis – confident assessing risk and returns
* Commercially minded, self-motivated, and target-driven
* Strong communication and negotiation skills
