Job Overview
A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive team member to join our growing service in delivering 3D surgical planning and printing across Manchester. Specialising in cranio-maxillofacial, the role will focus on designing and developing surgical devices/guides and implants for a range of highly complex surgical needs. Our 3D service provides planning/printing across all of Manchester's NHS hospitals along with neighbouring NHS Trusts. Being part of the UK's largest Trust and OMFS service, this role offers the opportunity to cover all aspects of CMF planning, with opportunities to seek ways in which we can support other specialties too.
As part of the team, you will have opportunities to help develop the service further, working with surgeons and clinicians on a daily basis. The successful candidate will design and manufacture patient-specific deep‑buried implants for oncology, trauma and congenital specialties.
We are looking for an experienced person who possesses excellent organisational skills, problem‑solving capabilities, is able to meet challenging deadlines, adapt to service needs and work within a busy team. Scheduling and conducting MS Teams planning sessions and attending theatre sessions will play a major role. On occasion attendance at other hospitals across Manchester will be needed to support our cross‑site caseloads. The main place of work will be within the OMFS Laboratory/3D suite at North Manchester General Hospital.
