Job Scope:
To ensure optimum efficiency and completion of task-based work. To lead, motivate and develop those directly responsible to you and highlight and manage positive and negative performance issues at all levels. To ensure tasks and work is completed within agreed SLA’s. Continually look for better ways of working and implement changes to improve the productivity, working practices and environment within your depot.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drive depot improvement through the delivery of effective training, planning, and resource management.
* Manage the delivery of depot KPIs through effective use and interpretation of company compliance reports and central software data.
* Develop effective working relationships with direct reports to ensure optimum service levels are achieved and maintained, challenge where necessary
* Identify and recruit employees with the right potential following the company’s laid down recruitment procedure
* Performance and Development reviews carried out on a regular basis using the company’s performance and development process.
* To ensure direct reports are trained and developed effectively to be able to carry out their roles
* Maintain constant control over stock and assets within the depot, conducting internal asset counts at minimum twice a year
* Ensure a comprehensive de-brief experience is conducted for all routes, challenges are issued and detailed.
* Human resource management of the depot including, holiday planning, absence management, effective selection/recruitment, HR Systems (Bright HR) and robust induction processes.
* Manage depot compliance through daily reporting, analysis and corrective actions plans, ensuring communication of set plans are distributed accordingly and timescales achieved.
* Responsibility for site health and safety and the employment of safe working practice in line with company handbook. Ensure areas of risk are assessed and documented and all applicable risk assessments are communicated to relevant staff.
* Delivers effective people management for direct reports through feedback and monitoring.
* Encourage and develop your team to their full potential through effective performance management.
* Provide effective cover for the General Manager when required.
