Base Location: Successful applicants will be based in one of our Scottish locations – Perth, Aberdeen, or Inverness.
Salary: £58,100 - £87,100 plus a performance-related bonus and a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.
Working Pattern: Fixed Term | Full Time | Flexible First options available.
The Role
We are looking for an Asset Policy & Strategy Manager to join our team in SSEN Transmission. This role involves developing and implementing collaborative asset management plans to ensure the infrastructure is safe, reliable, and efficient. You’ll ensure that all operations comply with regulatory standards and international frameworks while also supporting and guiding a team to manage asset-related risks.
This role is a 12-month fixed term position.
You Will
* Support the development of Asset Management policies and strategies that align with our business objectives and regulatory targets.
* Ensure compliance with Regulatory & Legal obligations and maintain our certification to the ISO55001 standard, including coordinating an internal audit function.
* Coordinate our involvement in external asset management & operational international benchmarking studies.
* Facilitate a programme to align Asset Condition Assessment across all 3 UK Transmission Operators to meet regulatory obligations.
* Manage and enhance our Asset Management risk & assurance processes in line with business and SSE Group governance requirements.
You Have
* Proven experience in guiding teams, ideally in an asset-owning organisation.
* Experience in collaboratively developing business strategy & policy documents with industry subject matter experts.
* A broad understanding of asset management principles, methodologies and practice, supported by a recognised Asset Management qualification.
* Experience in supporting the development and continuous improvement of ISO55001 certification within an asset management organisation.
* Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to produce clear and effective technical & business documentation.
