Job Description
We are seeking a senior risk management professional to join Propel London, based in Leeds, United Kingdom. The role involves preparing risk management meetings, aligning work with assurance teams, designing risk reporting for stakeholders, coordinating across jurisdictions, and developing risk management strategies and systems. The candidate will also scrutinize processes, work with Internal Audit, and lead the risk management team.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare risk management meetings and committees, including Board and Exco meetings.
2. Collaborate with Assurance to align risk activities.
3. Design and implement risk reporting for stakeholders and senior management.
4. Coordinate risk-oriented project teams across different jurisdictions and time zones.
5. Develop and maintain the division's risk management system, including strategies, processes, and reporting procedures.
6. Review and challenge risk management processes to ensure proper risk identification, quantification, mitigation, and reporting.
7. Coordinate with Internal Audit and other parties for risk review and ensure timely completion of actions.
8. Recruit, develop, and lead the risk management team as needed.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience in senior legal, risk, or compliance roles within large international companies.
2. Experience in heavily regulated environments such as gaming, banking, or pharma.
3. Strong background in risk management and cross-functional change projects, with ownership from conception to completion.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships across departments and jurisdictions.
5. Experience engaging with regulators, external advisors, and stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions.
