Salary £26,072.88 a year
Location Stoke-On-Trent
Hours per week 35 hours
Contract type Permanent
Our client is looking for a People Administrator who loves variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is ready to be at the heart of everything people-related in their organisation! As their People Administrator, you’ll be the friendly first point of contact for all HR queries – the go-to person who keeps everything running smoothly. You’ll play a key role across every stage of the employee journey, from recruitment and onboarding to learning, development, and beyond.
One day you might be coordinating interviews or producing contracts, and the next, you’ll be helping crunch payroll numbers or supporting exciting L&D initiatives. No two days are ever the same — and you’ll love the energy of being part of their collaborative team!
Job requirements:
* Coordinating the recruitment process by liaising with managers, posting vacancies, and arranging interviews.
* Supporting onboarding for new starters: offer letters, DBS checks, references, and paperwork.
* Managing their People and L&D inboxes, including triaging, signposting, and ensuring every query gets the care it deserves.
* Preparing monthly payroll input with precision and care.
* Updating and maintaining employee and learning systems, including keeping data accurate and GDPR-compliant.
* Tracking absence, identifying trends, and providing essential reporting insights.
* Supporting their Learning & Development programmes, including arranging training and ensuring sessions are full and effective.
* Contributing to key HR initiatives and helping shape how they support their people.
What they’re looking for:
* Experienced in administrative work, preferably within HR.
* A confident communicator and team player who can manage multiple priorities.
* Detail-driven with excellent organisational skills.
* Naturally curious about HR best practice — you love learning and improving systems.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and ideally HR systems.
* Knowledgeable (or eager to learn) about GDPR and employment law essentials.
