R&D Chemist - Person Specification
Experience and a strong technical knowledge of chemical formulation and manufacturing processes is desirable and highly valued, however, candidates able to demonstrate a clear understanding of Chemistry and a passion for innovation and product development should also apply for this exciting position. R&D Chemist - Key Responsibilities:
* Demonstrate a proficient level of technical skills, knowledge and techniques, and generate IP where appropriate.
* Ensure effective recording and communication of results.
* Ensure that all assigned work is delivered in a timely manner and all associated requirements, objectives and targets are fully met.
* Contribute to discussions that further both technology and process development.
* Identifies new processes and materials
* Ensures high laboratory standards with respect to health, safety, environment and quality in all activities.
R&D Chemist- Skills and Experience:
* Degree in Chemistry or a similar science
* Experience within the surface coatings industry or similar field desirable
* Awareness of Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality systems
* Self-motivated, has great attention to detail, is adaptable and enthusiastic
* Analytical thinker
* Ability to work collaboratively and constructively in a dynamic and changing environment
* Thoroughness in completing work and achieving accuracy
* Team player with good interpersonal skills and the capability to interact with people at all levels.
