Quality Technician Role Definition The Quality Technician implements WHS Plastics company quality assurance and control systems to ensure proper execution of products to the customer requirement every time. All team members in quality must act as the voice of the Customer on site. Key Responsibilities: To support the Quality Engineer toward specific adhoc objectives (Eg:8D Support, Process/Product Auditing, Quality Alerts, key communication of standards and standard changes). To attend technical, operations and quality meetings as required To aid to identify key COQ (Cost Of Quality) improvement items and support / facilitate in problem resolution. To improve RFT by supporting problem solving activities To develop, maintain and improve work instructions for process’. To produce boundary samples and references for components To act as improvement support to the technical teams Organise containment for customer / high profile risk related concerns To support the development of Firewall inspectors, and production personnel. To ensure all WHS standards are followed by all team members Report issues back to injection sites to ensure the quality of mouldings coming into the sister plant Support with 8D problem solving Attend handovers with other QTs to discuss any issues found during a shift. Ensure clear communication during handovers/ shift reporting to maintain clear communication. Hands on support in the event of inspector gaps. Identified deputy in the absence of the Quality Engineer. General Responsibilities Adhere to company quality awareness.
