About this opportunity
Join Gleeds' Global Pursuits team as junior graphic designer, supporting major national & international bids as part of our specialist bids team.
Our Global Pursuits team are responsible for managing & coordinating the delivery of strategic bids for high value schemes with global & national clients. They provide crucial support to our UK & global business and have been pivotal in securing some of our largest appointments to date.
You will be joining a diverse team of bid managers, writers, coordinators & graphic designers. Working collaboratively within the team, and across the business with internal stakeholders, you will be responsible for designing bespoke bid specific material including digital and print media, presentations, brochures, graphics & logos. You will work closely with internal & external designers to produce professional designs, in-line Gleeds branding guidelines and integrating Gleeds brand identity.
Your work will support Gleeds' bids for service delivery on landmark construction, infrastructure & energy projects, programmes & frameworks, both nationally & internationally. Clients include globally recognised organisations & institutions.
As Junior Graphic Designer you will be responsible for:
* Designing bespoke bid submissions, presentations, brochures, flyers, reports for print digital and online
* Collaborate with graphic designers to develop cohesive visual concepts, contributing to the creative planning of propositions and bid submissions
* Ensuring maximum creativity and innovation in alignment to client requirement whilst keeping Gleeds branding and voice in our bid submissions
* Coordinating the external print process if required
* Designing internal communications relating to Global Pursuits such as posters, e-newsletters, presentations, and video
* Take responsibility for maintaining Gleeds’ visual identity guidelines and work closely with Gleeds Marketing and Communications team
* Help maintain Gleeds’ online photo library, art-working photographs as required
* Be a global brand ambassador - providing guidance to colleagues in the UK and internationally on how the elevate our bid submissions

About You
Who we’re looking for:
Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills
To be considered for the role of junior graphic designer,you will needaminimum of 12 months' work experience in a graphic design led role, in either and agency or in-house (preferable) environment.
Additional experience, knowledge & key skills needed are:
Practical knowledge of the following software packages:
* Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator & photoshop)
* MS Office
* Sound photography skills (not essential)
* Experience using Adobe Premier Pro, After Effects or HTML (not essential)
Key skills:
* Awareness of trends, styles and history of graphic design
* Creative flair using typography, layout, imagery and illustration
* Problem solving skills – putting yourself in the minds of the targetaudience
* An excellent eye for detail – including style, grammar and proofreadingskills
Experience in any of the below would be beneficial:
* Project management
* Design for print and online
* Supplier management
* Brandmanagement
Qualifications
Degree (or relevant qualification) in Graphic Design or a Graphic Design led subject
