An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of Course Director for our highly regarded MSc degree programme in Plant Genetics and Crop Improvement.

The MSc degree is conferred by our academic partner, the University of East Anglia (UEA).
The Role
The MSc Course Director will have responsibilities including:
1. Leading and overseeing the strategic direction, design, and delivery of the MSc curriculum.
2. Delivering lectures, seminars, laboratory practicals, and other training activities to MSc students.
3. Providing pastoral care and mentoring as an academic advisor to MSc students regarding their career development.
4. Developing and strengthening links with UK agricultural charities to secure scholarships for UK students.
5. Identifying potential scholarship sources for international students.
The Ideal Candidate
The candidate should possess:
* A first degree in a biological science.
* A PhD in an aspect of plant science.
* Experience in Higher Education teaching at Level 6 and curriculum design in plant science; teaching at Masters Level 7 is desirable.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships across the institute and with external partners.
* Experience in student mentoring is advantageous but not essential.
Additional Information
This position is available four or five days per week. Interviews are scheduled for early to mid-June. Please note, this post does not meet UKVI requirements for visa sponsorship.
