Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Front of House Team Member to join our team who can bring a warm and friendly service at our award winning pub on Dartmoor. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Your passion for hospitality and culinary excellence will contribute to an enjoyable dining experience for all customers.
The ideal candidate must be flexible. Hours can be negotiated between 20-24 hours a week. Hours offered over a 4 day working week.
It is important to us as a company that service to customers are provided at a high level to match the quality of food provided. During a day to day typical day you will be expected to work with the team to:
Duties
* Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements.
* Provide menu information and make recommendations to enhance the dining experience.
* Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all guest requests are noted.
* Be able to work on the bar as well as restaurant floor.
* Handle guest enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to maintain high levels of satisfaction.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including tables, counters, and waiting areas.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food delivery and quality service.
* Helping to maintain and organise the cellar.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential.
* Strong guest service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
* Knowledge of food safety practices is advantageous.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* A team player who is willing to help colleagues in various roles within the kitchen or front of house as required.
