The ideal candidate would hold a relevant Level 3 - Level 7 qualification - but experience and enthusiasm are more important
We have lots of outdoor facilities and would appreciate a new team member who is keen to make the most of them.
We are supportive of further training- whether it is a childcare qualification, required courses such as first aid and safeguarding, or specific training to develop skills, for example Makaton or Forest School.

Responsibilities:
- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for children in the early years
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play-based learning
- Monitor and assess children's progress and provide feedback to parents/guardians
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, behaviour, and developmental milestones
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns
Requirements:
- GCSEs as a minimum
- Previous experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with young children - Adaptability- no two days are the same, especially when working with babies, as the routine is based around individual children's needs.
Desirable: - Level 3 or above in childcare/ education related subject - Previous experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
