Elevation Accountancy and Finance is excited to partner with a reputable business in the Rotherham area to recruit an experienced Finance Business Partner for a full-time, permanent role.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Prepare monthly management accounts.
2. Review and explain variances to budget, forecast, and previous year; support all nominal ledger balances.
3. Maintain fixed asset model for easy year-end summaries; ensure profit/losses on disposals are identified and documented promptly.
4. Maintain records and daily receipts.
5. Manage cash book and ensure bank reconciliations are accurate and posted daily.
6. Match purchase invoices with system purchase orders.
7. Manage purchase ledger effectively: update supplier data, ensure expenditure is authorized, process payments according to terms, and reconcile balances monthly.
8. Complete half-year and year-end audit files on time.
9. Participate in warehouse stock takes to ensure accuracy.
10. Own the company's margin report, identify anomalies, and review product margins.
11. Review stock price files to ensure correct invoicing.
12. Perform monthly stock reconciliations.
13. Identify improvements in finance and warehouse system utilization.
14. Ensure corporate credit card statements are distributed, receipts are obtained, and missing receipts are authorized.
15. Analyze expenditure and VAT, and prepare related reports.
16. Assist with tax computations and resolve related queries.
Requirements:
1. Experience in management accounting and purchase ledger processes.
2. Proficiency with Sage 200 accounting software.
3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills across different levels.
4. Self-motivated with a proven track record of fulfilling all essential job tasks effectively.
