We have an opportunity for a Fire Systems Engineer to join our team. As the Fire System Engineer, your role will be to manage the maintenance and operation of the Fire Detection, Alarm and associated Suppression systems required to protect the company assets for the Speciality Steels business units. Ensuring compliance with Business Code of Practice, Legislation, British and European Standards. Using best practices and cost-effective solutions for Fire Safety improvement. Maintaining Fire Detection and Suppression systems for Speciality Steels sites. Coordinating contractors for fire system maintenance. Advising business units on system condition and equipment suitability. Monitoring contract delivery for fire safety equipment supply. Supporting decision-making and problem resolution in Fire System problems and project delivery. Required of the Fire Systems Engineer Fire Systems Engineer Requirements Knowledge & Experience: Familiarity with Fire Detection and Suppression systems, Fire Safety, and relevant legislation. Relevant qualifications in fire and electrical disciplines. At least 3 years of experience in Fire Systems operation and maintenance. Skills: Effective leadership and motivation skills. Strong analytical skills for logic-based problem solving. Ability to meet deadlines. Clear, concise communication in writing and orally. Computer literacy and experience in maintenance management systems. Project management skills. Teamwork and flexibility. Competencies: Effective management of contractors.
