Job Title: Behaviour Support Staff
Location: Dinnington (S25)
Salary: £460 – £600 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

Are you a resilient and supportive individual with a passion for helping young people overcome behavioural and emotional challenges?

GSL Education are seeking dedicated Behaviour Support Staffs to work in schools across Dinnington (S25).

As a Behaviour Support Staff, you will work closely with students who display challenging behaviour or require emotional and behavioural support. You will play a key role in promoting positive behaviour, improving engagement, and supporting students to access learning effectively within the school environment.

Main Responsibilities of a Behaviour Support Staff:

* Provide one-to-one and small group behaviour support to students
* Support students in managing emotions, behaviour, and social interactions
* Implement behaviour management strategies in line with school policies
* Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and pastoral teams
* Help students remain engaged in lessons and daily school routines
* Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching and pastoral staff
* Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment

To be a Behaviour Support Staff, what you should have:

* Experience working with children or young people with behavioural needs
* A strong understanding of behaviour management and positive intervention strategies
* The ability to build trusting and professional relationships with students
* Calm, patient, and resilient approach to challenging situations
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Commitment to safeguarding and supporting student wellbeing
* An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
