QUBA Solutions are seeking their next big hire, within an already fantastic Business Development team. Who You Are

As QUBA’s Business Development Manager, you will be coming in at an exciting time of growth and opportunity. With your expertise and knowledge, you will be responsible for securing new business opportunities and driving revenue by signing new and existing recruitment agencies that require funding and back-office solutions.


You will demonstrate an impressive track record in a B2B sales environment, ideally within the financial services / recruitment / umbrella payroll sector, displaying strong experience in all stages of the sales process, from research to pitching, negotiation and onboarding.


£35,000 - £45,000 per annum basic + uncapped commission (OTE of £70k+ per annum). Commission is paid on deals for two years, so earning power is fantastic and rewards hard work!


Responsibilities:

* Generate quality sales prospects using various online sources, building a target list of relevant prospects
* Maintain pipeline health to exceed new business targets to support revenue generation
* Contribute to achieving the yearly sales goal via daily and monthly lead targets
* Close new business opportunities in order to hit personal and team targets
* Follow-up all potential opportunities with clients across a range of communication platforms
* Preparing new business proposals and any other sales material required to attract new business
* Identify and prioritise new and existing sales opportunities
* Deliver sales proposals and / or demonstrations in person or virtually to potential new clients
* Record all sales processes and pipelines on CRM
* Research into our target market of recruitment for industry trends, business opportunities and ways to improve the offering to our existing clients
* Participate in meetings with management to deliver updates and future ideas and plans to management
* Keep regular contact once trading to identify referrals and cross selling opportunities as part of the self-generation process
* Stay up to date with all developments in sales techniques and market/industry trends
* Collaborate with our on-boarding team to ensure all new clients have the ability to trade efficiently


This role is for someone that will proactively source their own leads, win business and earn commission on the back of your own hard work and ambition. You’re not restricted in earnings and therefore we’re looking for someone who is energetic and thrives under pressure whilst being competitive and self-motivated.


Our headquarters are based in our brand‑new Southampton office, while our sales team operates predominantly remote‑first. We’re a small but mighty sales team who value collaboration, shared success, and strong connections - alongside a healthy competitive spirit that pushes us to raise the bar, celebrate wins, and continuously improve together.


You will also have direct access to Senior Management and Leadership for ongoing support and career progression opportunities. We’re a rapidly growing business and we can’t wait to find the next person to join our high-performing sales team.


Experience required:

* Proven track record in a business-to-business (B2B) sales environment
* Sales experience within the invoice finance, recruitment or umbrella payroll sector is essential
* Computer literate, with experience with Microsoft Office (Excel and Word in particular)
* Understanding of the recruitment industry would be desirable but not essential
* The ability to deal with longer sales processes and able to draw on a wide range of sales techniques and knowledge to close all deals
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Can do attitude
* Highly organised with good time management skills
* Strong attention to detail
* Highly self-motivated, the ability to work as part of a team or independently
* Full UK driving license


Package:

We’re offering a full-time salary from £35,000 - £45,000 per annum + Commission, with access to a fantastic range of employee benefits:

* Commission structure that pays on deals for two years (rather than the industry standard of the first 6 – 12 months), so earning power is fantastic and incomparable
* 22 days’ holiday per year (in addition to public/statutory bank holidays) – you will also accrue a further day’s holiday for each year of service, up to a maximum of 30 days

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year

* Remote-first, with flexibility. For candidates based within 1.5 hours of our Southampton office, we ask for at least one office day per week, with more in-person time during onboarding and training. If you prefer to work full-time from our Southampton office, that’s absolutely supported. Regular client travel is part of the role.
