Typical Entry Routes and Qualifications
* No formal academic requirements.
* Many entrants hold:
* • BTEC/SQA award
* • A levels/H grades
* • A degree or equivalent qualification
* Training is often in-house.
* Short courses or professional qualifications may be provided by the Market Research Society.
Responsibilities
* Discusses business methods, products, or services with employers/clients to identify marketing needs.
* Collates and interprets findings of market research and presents results to clients.
* Uses market research to suggest changes in design, price, packaging, promotion, etc.
* Develops digital marketing strategies (e.g., social media use) to promote products/brands/services and presents options to clients.
* Briefs advertising team on client requirements, monitors campaign progress, and liaises with clients on possible modifications.
