Our client is a financial services organisation building capital markets data platforms and agentic AI applications. They are looking for a Senior Python Developer to join a collaborative engineering team working on data infrastructure and AI-driven tooling that supports trading, analytics, and operational workflows.
Requirements:
* 5+ years of Python development with strong data (Parquet) and AI (Claude Code) experience
* Experience working with large datasets and columnar data formats
* An AI-native mindset, with exposure to agent-based or AI-assisted development
* Solid software engineering fundamentals and experience delivering production systems
* Financial services experience is a strong advantage
Responsibilities:
* Build and maintain Python applications and data pipelines for capital markets use cases
* Develop agentic AI applications and integrate AI tooling into existing workflows
* Work with large financial datasets, ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability
* Collaborate with stakeholders across technology and the business to deliver solutions
* Contribute to engineering best practices
