Previous experience not necessary
Why Pear Tree?
Established in 1990, Pear Tree provides a unique therapeutic environment to help children and young people recover from adverse childhood experiences.
Role
Residential Social Care Worker, supporting children and young people in six small, well-established homes. We are looking for caring and empathetic individuals to join our team.
What we are looking for
While previous experience is preferable, it is not essential. What matters most is that you share our core values: integrity, responsibility, respect, courage, and kindness. We are seeking individuals who are motivated, resilient, enthusiastic, and who have hobbies or skills that can add value to the lives of the young people we support. Joining our team means becoming an important part of a young persons life. As a Residential Social Care Worker, you will play a fundamental role in helping children recover from childhood trauma and breaking the cycle of abuse. High standards in behaviour are expected, and we need individuals who are committed to re parenting the children towards becoming capable young adults. While the role can be challenging, it is also hugely rewarding and filled with many moments of significant job satisfaction.
Candidates must hold a full UK driving licence and will be required to use their vehicle for work purposes.
This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974, and successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check, including a Children’s Barred List check. This role is classed as a regulated activity with children and it is an offence under the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006 to apply for the role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.
