CNC Miller – Programmer / Setter / Operator
We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Miller to join a well-established precision engineering company supplying the aerospace sector.
This role will suit a skilled machinist with experience programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines who enjoys producing high precision components within a quality-driven manufacturing environment.
You will be responsible for producing components from engineering drawings, programming machines, setting tooling and ensuring parts are manufactured accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Program, set and operate CNC milling machines
Manufacture precision components to tight tolerances
Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Select tooling and optimise cutting parameters
Ensure maximum material utilisation and minimal waste
Carry out first-off inspections and quality checks
Maintain accurate production documentation
Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety procedures
Essential Experience
Experience programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Experience working within precision engineering / aerospace / high-spec machining
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Desirable Experience
Experience with Heidenhain controls
Knowledge of tooling and cutting strategies
Basic machine maintenance knowledge
Forklift / counterbalance licence
