The client is a leading provider of industrial weighing and measurement solutions, they are looking for a skilled Field Service Engineer to join their UK service team. This is a hands‑on, autonomous role ideal for engineers who enjoy problem‑solving, travel, and working with advanced calibration technology.
What You'll Be Doing
* Calibrate, commission and troubleshoot a range of process weighing systems using F1/M1 test weights, flow meters, and force rigs
* Install and commission belt weighers and boiler leak detection systems
* Calibrate instrumentation including temperature, pressure, pH, conductivity, and magnet strength
* Perform repairs of scales and balances at HQ when required
* Complete service reports and calibration certificates to a high standard
* Work safely in line with the clients HSE policies
* Support weekend cover (1 in 3 Saturdays) and occasional overnight travel
What We're Looking For
Essential
* ONC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (HNC preferred)
* Time‑served engineer or relevant field service background
* Hands‑on experience with weighing or industrial instrumentation
* Confident working independently and under pressure
* Willingness to travel throughout the UK although most work is around Reading and Milton Kynes
* Full UK driving licence
Desirable
* Temperature calibration experience
* Exposure to food hygiene or manufacturing environments
* Knowledge of scales used in silos, platforms, and industrial control systems
