Job Description
We’re looking for enthusiastic applicants for a SUPPORT WORKER for our services based West Yorkshire area: Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield, Castleford,WF10,Normanton and other small homes.
1. Full-time,42 hours per week
2. Shifts available: currently have day shift patterns available, working on a rolling rota
3. Have the right to work without sponsorship in the next 12 months.
4. Pay rate is £12.50 per hour, overtime +£1 per hour
5. Experience required at least 6 months as healthcare assistant or Support worker in a care home or supported living location.
6. Positive, with a can-do attitude
7. Caring and empathetic
8. Passionate about enhancing other people’s lives.
9. Willing to attend training as needed to support you in your role.
10. Able to work flexibly shifts.
REQUIREMENTS: What We Are Looking For:
11. It is essential to have demonstrable support worker experience, working with service users who have been homeless and/or have complex needs including, mental health, substance misuse and domestic abuse etc.
12. You must be able to assess service users’ needs in order to plan and deliver effective and engaging support.
13. You’ll have strong organisational and communication skills – both written and verbally.
14. You’ll be able to manage risk, ensuring that all procedures are followed, and risk is managed appropriately.
15. You’ll have the ability to support service users in volunteering and community work involving group activities.
16. You must be flexible to work weekends on a rota basis. You may on occasion be required to travel so access to a vehicle is desirable
17. Ability to drive is desirable. Sometimes we need someone to drive a resident to his appointments.
18. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and colleagues
19. Experience in care homes is advantageous

Responsibilities
35. Provide compassionate support and assistance to clients in their homes, ensuring their comfort and safety.
36. Assist with daily living activities, including meal preparation, medication administration, and personal care.
37. Monitor and document clients' health and well-being, reporting any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
38. Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
39. Maintain clear communication with clients and their families, fostering a supportive environment.
