P&L Recruitment are delighted to be supporting our long standing Glasgow client, to recruit an Accounts Senior on a full-time permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Assistant who is looking to progress into more of a senior role that offers a pathway for promotion in a supportive environment.
Duties & responsibilities:
* Preparing sole trader, partnership and Limited Company accounts for a variety of clients
* Preparing management accounts
* Preparing and reviewing VAT returns
* Preparing corporation tax computations and CT600 returns
* Preparing self-assessment tax returns
* Managing and reviewing junior staff work
* Managing client relationships
* Acting as a mentor to the junior staff members
Requirements:
* At least 2 years experience working in Practice
* Be able to prepare statutory accounts
* Good software experience: Sage, Xero, Iris, Quickbooks and FreeAgent
* Strong communication skills
* Ambitious and hard working
* Willingness to progress
