The Role
To be involved in planning, supervision and facilitating appropriately balanced early years learning experiences that follow Curriculum for Excellence and the Pre-Birth to Three Curriculum. Provide a caring, safe, and welcoming environment for children, allowing each child to develop at their own pace. Planning will be guided by current national guidance, relevant documentation, and child-led learning approaches.

Salary:
£12.60 per hour
Key Responsibilities
* Observe, record, and plan through interaction to meet individual children's needs.
* Monitor and evaluate children's development using ILD and Learning Intentions, and implement action plans.
* Collaborate with parents in planning for each child and support parental participation and community relations.
* Ensure the room is fully resourced and facilitate learning experiences aligned with the curriculum.
* Create a child-led environment that promotes learning through play and other appropriate activities.
* Implement and promote awareness of equality within the nursery.
* Support development in Well Being, Literacy, and Mathematics across the setting.
* Respond to physical needs of children, e.g., toileting, nappy changing.
* Provide suitable learning experiences for children with additional support needs, following their IEPs.
* Follow child protection procedures and support children and families through lifestyle changes.
* Participate in outings adhering to health and safety guidelines.
* Work collaboratively within a professional team and with other disciplines.
* Contribute to staff meetings and share good practice.
* Be a positive role model.
* Engage in training and maintain CPD records.
* Be registered with the SSSC or an equivalent body.
* Follow company policies and procedures.
Skills And Qualifications
* HNC or SVQ III in Childcare and Education or equivalent; registration with the SSSC is required or to be gained.
* Understanding of child development needs, parental roles, and local/national guidelines.
