Business Developer / Sales Development Representative
TPS provides independent garages and bodyshops with high-quality Genuine Parts and products necessary for servicing and repairing Volkswagen Group vehicles. TPS is part of the Volkswagen Group, alongside Audi, SEAT, ŠKODA, Volkswagen passenger cars, and Commercial Vehicles. It is a national network of TPS Centres with a 1,500-strong workforce, committed to creating a motivating and inclusive workplace that recognizes and rewards its employees, encouraging continuous learning and development.
Founded in 2006 as a new brand concept, TPS operates on an Agency Model, meaning Centres stock and sell on behalf of Volkswagen Group UK. The brand has experienced rapid growth both financially and in expanding its network of Centres nationwide.
What will you be doing?
1. Working with the Sales Manager and team to deliver and achieve the business plan and sales objectives of the Centre.
2. Achieving personal KPIs and revenue objectives with target customers.
3. Accurately identifying parts to meet customer requirements.
4. Utilising product promotions effectively to meet targets.
5. Identifying and leveraging potential sales opportunities within the customer base.
6. Maintaining product knowledge and awareness of competitor activity.
7. Building strong relationships with customers through regular contact via phone and face-to-face visits.
8. Providing excellent customer service by understanding needs, responding to requests, progressing orders, and offering expert advice.
9. Providing timely communication regarding credit status.
10. Supporting the TPS Centre team to ensure good working relationships and excellent customer service.
11. Working with the Sales Manager to achieve sales targets and coordinate sales efforts.
12. Handling incoming calls and customer inquiries within KPI parameters, using the approved greeting.
13. Ensuring proper and accurate use of all systems for searching and ordering parts.
14. Completing documentation accurately and promptly.
15. Managing cash and credit card transactions in line with TPS Guidelines.
What are we looking for?
1. A self-starter with a proven track record of building strong relationships and achieving sales targets in a B2B environment.
2. Confident and effective communicator with experience in fast-paced and/or telesales environments.
3. Passionate about providing excellent customer service.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to build relationships with stakeholders.
5. A team player with determination to meet individual and sales targets weekly and monthly.
6. Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.
7. IT literate, preferably with good knowledge of MS Excel.
8. Enthusiastic about the automotive industry.
