Job Title: CNC Turner (Setter/Operator)
Location: Northampton
Salary: £36,400 + Overtime
Permanent / Full-Time
We are working with a well-established and busy engineering business in Northampton who are looking to appoint an experienced CNC Turner (Setter/Operator) to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable company with consistent overtime available and a strong team environment.
Due to the location, candidates must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own transport.
Key Responsibilities
* Setting and operating CNC lathes using Fanuc controls
* Programming machines to produce high-quality components
* Working from 2D engineering drawings to tight tolerances
* Machining a range of materials including 316, 304, Duplex, Titanium and Hastelloy
* Inspecting your own work to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met
* Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Working Hours
* Monday Thursday: 06:00 14:30 or 07:00 15:30
* Friday: 06:00 12:00
* 38 hours per week
* Overtime readily available, including Saturdays
The Ideal Candidate
* Proven experience as a CNC Turner (setter/operator)
* Strong experience working with Fanuc controls
* Ability to programme, set and operate independently
* Confident reading and interpreting 2D drawings
* Experience working with a variety of materials
* Able to inspect own work and work to tight tolerances
* Reliable, team-focused and committed to quality
Desirable xkybehq
* Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent engineering qualification
* Experience within a fast-paced machining environment
