Product Manager - Group Protection - Salary up to £55,000 (DOE) Location: Eastleigh, Norwich, Bristol, York This role sits within a team of experienced product subject matter experts and will play a pivotal part in shaping and managing Aviva's Group Protection product suite, which includes Critical Illness, Income Protection, and Life products for approximately 2.7 million customers. A bit about the job: The successful candidate will use market analysis to evolve the product range in line with strategic aims and customer needs. They will be accountable for proposition development, product reviews, and ensuring all governance requirements are met. The role also involves providing technical support to operational teams, maintaining product literature, and fostering strong relationships across Group Protection and wider business teams. Risk management is integral, with responsibilities including identifying and managing risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks such as Consumer Duty, and supporting governance and control measures. Financially, the role contributes to delivering the Protection business plan within cost-benefit objectives. Skills and experience we're looking for: Extensive product technical knowledge of one, or more, of Group Income Protection, Group Critical Illness or Group Life and good knowledge and understanding of the overall UK group protection market, products and services is essential. Experience in undertaking product lifetime reviews, value for money assessments and product development utilising proposition frameworks. Detailed understanding of the current financial services regulatory landscape impacting the protection market, e.g.: Consumer Duty. Strong communication skills through report writing and presenting results with Power Point. Stakeholder management, influencing, planning and problem-solving skills to deliver target outcomes.
