We are seeking an experienced Software QA Engineer for an excellent client based in Basingstoke. The successful candidate will be responsible for testing and validating internal and third-party software solutions, ensuring they meet performance, reliability, and security standards.
You will collaborate closely with developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality, production-ready solutions.
This is predominantly an office-based role with the expectation to be in the office 4 days per week.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and execute test cases based on requirements
* Perform manual and automated testing
* Collaborate with developers to investigate, track, and resolve defects
* Leverage AI-powered tools to enhance test coverage and defect analysis
* Develop and maintain automated tests (Python scripting)
* Report defects using tools such as JIRA
* Participate in test planning, estimations, and Agile ceremonies
* Deliver customer demos, training, and internal knowledge sharing
* Travel internationally for customer acceptance testing and Go-Live support
Requirements
* 5+ years’ experience in software testing
* Strong understanding of testing methodologies and defect lifecycle
* Python scripting
* Experience with automation and test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, ADO)
* Strong communication and documentation skills
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent experience would be beneficial
