Join to apply for the Field Service Engineer role at Linde Material Handling in the Inverness area (IV1 – IV3). Linde Material Handling, a global leader in forklift trucks and warehouse equipment, is seeking skilled Field Service Engineers to join our team.
As a Field Service Engineer, you will work across a diverse range of products—from agile pallet trucks to counterbalance machines, very narrow aisle (VNA) trucks, and automated solutions. You will diagnose and resolve technical issues, perform preventative maintenance, and provide exceptional customer service at our customers’ sites.
Responsibilities
* Travel to various customer locations to service Linde forklifts and related material handling equipment.
* Diagnose and resolve technical issues to ensure equipment operates at peak efficiency.
* Conduct preventative maintenance checks and maintain fleet reliability.
* Build strong relationships with customers and deliver high-quality technical support.
* Operate autonomously and as part of a team, following safety and quality guidelines.
Qualifications
* Experience as a vehicle technician or mechanical engineer, with prior work as forklift technicians, plant fitters, plant technicians, or vehicle technicians highly desirable.
* Ideally NVQ level 3 (or equivalent), though this is not essential.
* Competent with IT equipment and using systems to record work and place orders.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
