We’re looking for our first Platform Product Manager who will have a transformative influence on how we build, operate, and run our platform. This role involves guiding the “platform as a product” strategy of the Platform Engineering group, which provides the infrastructure powering Deliveroo. As the company grows rapidly, building a seamless developer experience is critical.
What will you do?
As a Platform Product Manager, your work contributes to group-level goals and metrics. You will collaborate across the Tech organization, working with other product managers, stakeholders, and end-users.
You’ll partner with Platform Engineering Managers to build, manage, and prioritize the strategic roadmap, including business cases and long-term initiatives, ensuring cross-team alignment.
You’ll help propose, define, and deliver impactful projects by conducting stakeholder and user research using interviews, surveys, and focus groups.
You’ll represent the customer in the Platform teams, ensuring alignment with the Tech organization and focusing on impactful projects.
You’ll own key Platform initiatives, defining outcomes, setting milestones, and guiding iterations to improve ways of working.
You’ll coach peers in framing and feedback, track metrics, and report on progress.
You’ll manage marketing and communication efforts for the group, promoting capabilities and features.
You’ll foster and coordinate the Platform Engineering community, promoting interest and alignment within the cloud ecosystem.
Requirements
We value experience in some of these areas but do not expect all:
Strong understanding of modern DevOps and platform engineering practices.
Good knowledge of cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
Previous experience as a software engineer and/or product manager is a plus.
Proficiency with product management tools, including Atlassian suite.
Experience in an agile environment.
Effective communication skills and ability to align senior stakeholders.
Desire to connect with engineers and empathize with their challenges.
