Salary: £40,000 to £42,000 pa, depending on experience and qualifications, plus benefits including Health Cash Plan

Typical day as a Maintenance Surveyor
* Conduct pre and post inspections of repairs on responsive and void properties across the North-East, ensuring high-quality work and customer satisfaction.
* Provide technical advice to trades, maintenance managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and compliance.
* Manage contracts, monitor progress, and utilize customer insights to meet our service promises.
* Handle disrepair cases and assist customers with damp and mould issues.
* Measure materials accurately for efficient work.
* Ensure void re-servicing meets standards for quick re-let.

You have
* Experience in building surveying, including property condition and dilapidation surveys, and specifying remedial works.
* A Building Surveying qualification (HND, HNC, or Degree).
* Possession or progress towards RICS or CIOB registration.
* Knowledge of building repairs, construction, and CDM roles.
* Ability to manage budgets and control expenditure.
* A vehicle insured for business use (we'll pay mileage).
* A self-starter attitude to work independently across your patch, delivering projects on time and within budget.

Job details
* Work Monday to Friday, with flexibility to manage your schedule.
* This is a hybrid role based in Durham (Mercury House), with remote and property visits.
* Proficiency with technology for record keeping, budgeting, learning, and collaboration is required.
* A Standard DBS check is required; we cover the cost.
