The role: You will be working within a team, carrying out PPM’s and maintenance on a range of production machinery. Investigate and resolve mechanical and electrical faults on plant and machinery. Work to planned preventative maintenance schedule. Complete elements of commissioning on plant and equipment. Investigate and resolve mechanical and electrical faults on plant and machinery. Front-line maintenance contractor safety management Understanding of Risk assessment/POWRA for maintenance jobs Ensure safety and housekeeping in workshop and plant Adopt and promote a Zero Harm workplace attitude, drive improvement in Health and Safety Liaise and maintain regular contact with Maintenance Manager Provide holiday / sickness / absence cover for Maintenance Controller role Undertakes maintenance according to the weekly plan and at weekends when required (mechanical / electrical, corrective / preventive) Maintains engineering workshop and booking in/out of parts with Maintenance Manager Coordinate suppliers, to include raising quotations for parts and services Ensures availability of parts / critical spares working with Maintenance Manager Perform such other duties as the Company may from time to time reasonably require Comply with all Company policies related to Code of Conduct, Environmental, Health and Safety and Community. The Person: Completion of an engineering apprenticeship and/or HNC level or above in a engineering-related subject; or equivalent experience within a relevant engineering role Experience of working within a manufacturing environment. You will be multi-skilled, with the ability to fault-find and repair both mechanical and electrical fields. Experience across a variety of pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems. Ability to perform both proactive & reactive maintenance duties using a scheduled maintenance system. IOSH working safely / managing safely is desirable but not essential. Ideally, you will have PLC experience – specifically, Siemens S7 / Mitsubishi. Ability to read, understand, generate technical, electrical and P&I drawings.
