Salary: £34,434 - £37,280 per annum (rising by annual increments to £37,280) + Trainer Allowance 10% of salary, rising to 15% after 1 year.

Location: Devizes Training Centre however from March 2026 up to June 2027 Devizes Training Centre will be undergoing major refurbishments and there will be a requirement to work at various locations across the service area.

As a General Trainer in our Operational Training department you will:
1. Support Training Centre delivery of the training programme as required
2. Develop training and assessment scenarios and packages for Incident Command and Operational Competence
3. Support internal and external departments in training requirements, Prevention teams, Local Resilience Forum (LRF) and other agency training
What makes you our ideal General Trainer?
4. 4 GCSE passes - Grade A*- C / 9 - 4, including English and Mathematics or equivalent Level 2 qualification (including L2 functional skills), or higher - level relevant qualification
5. Experience of working as an operational firefighter
6. Experience of organising and delivering training sessions & preparing training resources
