Your new company
Our client is a well-established and widely recognised organisation, known for its long-standing presence and continued growth. With a strong reputation for innovation and reliability, the business is entering an exciting phase of expansion and development. As part of this exciting journey, they are now looking to expand their legal team with the appointment of a talented solicitor in either their Bristol or Midlands office. This role can be full-time or part-time for the right candidate. The role follows a hybrid model with two days a week in either the Bristol or Midlands office and the rest from home.
Your new role
You will be joining a collaborative in-house legal team, providing high-quality legal advice and guidance across all divisions of the business. The work is varied and engaging, involving the drafting, negotiation and review of a wide range of commercial agreements. You'll advise on both contentious and non-contentious matters, helping to resolve issues efficiently and pragmatically.
You'll work closely with internal stakeholders and business partners, building strong relationships and providing clear, commercially focused guidance. You'll be responsible for identifying legal risks and communicating these to senior leadership, including the Executive Board, in line with established governance procedures. Your remit will also include advising on operational queries, supporting marketing and communications approvals, and contributing to areas such as employment law, intellectual property, IT, and dispute resolution. You'll have the opportunity to work autonomously while also supporting and supervising junior lawyers, and engaging with stakeholders at all levels, including the Executive Board.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified Solicitor with 3 - 7 years post-qualification experience, ideally gained in-house or within a leading commercial practice. You'll have a strong background in commercial contracts and a pragmatic, solution-focused approach to legal advice. Excellent communication, relationship-building and organisational skills are essential, along with a proactive attitude and the ability to manage competing priorities. Experience in the financial services sector would be beneficial but is not essential.
What you'll get in return
You'll be joining a progressive organisation that values its people and promotes a collaborative, inclusive working environment. In return, you'll receive a competitive salary, access to a range of employee benefits, and flexible working arrangements. The role follows a hybrid model with two days a week in either the Bristol or Midlands office and the rest from home.
