Are you a confident and experienced Registered Manager with a proven track record in turnaround situations?
We are seeking a strong, knowledgeable Registered Manager to lead a care home in the Great Yarmouth area through a period of transition and improvement, requiring a leader who can step in with confidence to provide stability and drive positive change across all areas of the service.
Main Purpose of the Role:
As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall day-to-day running of the home, ensuring it meets the highest standards of care, compliance, and governance. You will provide visible, decisive leadership, supporting staff through change and instilling confidence in residents, families, regulators, and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide strong, visible leadership to the team, ensuring high standards of care and professionalism at all times.
* Drive service improvement, embedding best practice and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
* Take accountability for all aspects of home management, including quality, safeguarding, and governance.
* Build and maintain a positive culture of openness, support, and accountability within the team.
* Lead on recruitment, retention, and development of staff to ensure safe staffing levels and a skilled workforce.
* Engage effectively with residents and families, responding to concerns with transparency and sensitivity.
* Liaise with regulators, commissioners, and external stakeholders, representing the home professionally and confidently.
* Ensure accurate record-keeping, care planning, and reporting in line with best practice and regulatory requirements.
* Oversee the financial performance of the home, ensuring budgets are managed effectively.
What Were Looking For:
* Experience: Proven track record as a Registered Manager, ideally in turnaround or challenging home settings. Proven experience working with adults with learning disabilities and mental health challenges.
* Knowledge: In-depth understanding of CQC standards, safeguarding, compliance frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
* Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to instill confidence in staff, residents, families, and inspectors.
* Qualities: Resilient, decisive, and hands-on, with the confidence to take ownership and lead change under pressure.
* Qualifications: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care.
