Job title: Kitchen Manager School catering
Location: Rickmansworth
Salary: £13.95 per hour (£17,503.90 per year)
As a Cook Manager, you will play a key role in leading the kitchen team, ensuring the delivery of fresh, nutritious meals alongside excellent service each day. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards while creating a positive and supportive kitchen environment.
Key responsibility
1. Prepare daily menus using provided recipes, including accommodating special dietary and allergen requirements
2. Maintain strict compliance with food hygiene, allergen management, and health & safety regulations
3. Manage stock levels, oversee ordering, and control kitchen budgets effectively
4. Lead, motivate, and support your team to ensure high performance and ongoing development
5. Build strong working relationships with school staff, pupils, and the wider community
6. DBS check ideal
About You:
7. Previous experience in school catering or a similar catering environment, with a passion for fresh, high-quality food
8. Food Hygiene Level 2 certificate (additional training can be provided if required)
9. Good knowledge of kitchen health & safety and food safety standards
10. Proactive and organised, with the ability to take initiative and lead a team confidently
11. Enthusiastic about personal development and making a positive contribution within a school setting
