As part of the global AmTrust Financial group, we have more than 20 years of experience and as experts in our field, we are obsessed with delivering high quality ‘bespoke’ products and excellent customer service. We are now recruiting for a dynamic Chief Operating Officer to join us as we mobilise the next phase of our ambitious plans. This role will be based at our core site in Colchester, with regular travel to our offices in the West Midlands and Cardiff, as well as to our parent group offices in Central London.
Role and responsibilities This is a leadership position where you will bring a strong strategic mindset and play an active role in the performance of the business. This role will also hold responsibilities under the Senior Managers Certification Regime (SMCR).
Responsibilities
* Lead the development and communication of the company´s operational strategy, in conjunction with the CEO and Company Directors.
* Design and operate effective, efficient and well controlled systems, processes and key controls.
* Monitor business performance to drive quality and productivity improvements in conjunction with cost management/reduction programmes.
* Lead the administration, business intelligence, business analysis and enterprise data functions.
* Oversee Arc’s Finance Operations department ensuring efficient Bordereaux, Premium and Credit Control management.
* Liaise with Amtrust Group shared services, where applicable, to ensure superior service delivery for Arc.
* Ensure effective supplier management and service provider delivery.
* Meet budget and expense ratio targets.
* Design and manage the Business Continuity Plans across three sites.
Qualifications and expectations
As an experienced operations leader you will have proven experience in organisational transformation within an insurance business, particularly with a focus on technology and infrastructure. This is a leadership position with a strong strategic mindset and active involvement in the performance of the business. This role includes responsibilities under the Senior Managers Certification Regime (SMCR).
